Description

Research shows that student voice has a positive impact on educational outcomes. But it is more than giving students a seat at the school board table. Providing student voice is an approach to school improvement that makes the learning environment engaging, relevant and productive. With today’s students experiencing higher levels of anxiety and depression due to COVID-19, students are feeling even more disconnected from their schools than before the pandemic. Building a safer school doesn’t involve brick and mortar – it involves collaborating with students to build a culture that is connected and positive. This session will provide insight on how to invest in students and listen effectively, learn diligently and lead collaboratively with your students.
